Smile Installing itunes without admin priveliges?

Hi guys,

Is there a way I can install Itunes on a computer without admin priveliges? one of my work colleagues wants to put Itunes on his work laptop however he does not have admin priveliges.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

A word to the wise - in most companies, putting unauthorised software on company PC's or Laptops is a disciplinary offence.

Does your "work colleague" know the effect iTunes may have on the laptop build (will it affect any business applications or security), or will it have permission to go through the company firewall, etc etc.

Re: Installing itunes without admin priveliges?

why do you highlight "work colleagues" - because it IS for a colleague of mine, firstly I dont have a laptop and I dont have a IPOD, though I do have Itunes.

I guess I'll have to speak to someone in the IT team then.

Thanks anyway :|

Re: Installing itunes without admin priveliges?

You will need to get admin rights, as iTunes does make changes to the system services (this is actually to enable iPod support, but it needs to do it regardless of whether you have an iPod).
