I dunno if it's your TV in regards to the film, but I watched blue planet on HD last night on my 77" HD projector and it was astounding, so I'm not sure how you could have not been impressed

@chippy check your HDMI lead and try Component Video, some TVs prefers Component for Vbox than HDMI. I've wacthed all HD movies on Demand (wait for new stuff since 2months :-( ) and believe me the pictures are wonderfull.

Apart from the fact that HD movies on demand don't work over component video...

I hate to say this, but Evesham aren't particularly well known for their quality TV's. This might be something to do with it...

Is in your town the shop RicherSound....? I've bought there the HDMI lead 'Cambridge', the sale assistant made me sure that I can bring back the lead if something wrong.

@ShadowTD not all the hd movies require HDMI, it's depends if movies has HDCP.

That's what i thought too. The only reason to use HDMI/DVI is because they are the only ones going to carry HDCP, but i thought HDCP wasn't widely (if at all) used yet. I can't really comment because i don't use component though, i use DVI.

Would still be interested to know the definitive answer to this though as i could be tempted to use component as my control centre primarily uses it.
