V+ Box Failure ?

I had a V+ Box installed about a week ago. Last Sat. It worked fine except that the on-demand functions were not working. Then the next day it just died and kept showing Er01 code. Wouldn't boot. Called engineer and of course by the time he came out on the Monday it had come back to life. So he fiddled with it and said it wasn't tuned to the correct signal or something and off he went.

Anyway couple of times during the week it just rebooted itself while we were watching stuff on "time slip". Usually about 5-10 mins into playback it just rebooted. Thought we'd see how it goes. Anyway it did the same thing again today. About 6-10 mins into playing something currently recording ("time slip") it just died. Only this time it did not reboot and is now sitting at the Er01 error message. It's not booting.

I'm guessing this box is borked ? But can I ask them to replace it ? even if an eng comes out and by then it is back to life ?

Odd, it's now showing Fr01, Fr02, Fr03... Fr0A etc.

Says it's being updated... what gives ?

Re: V+ Box Failure ?

It sounds to me like the box has failed.

Re: V+ Box Failure ?

It's still "updating" this morning. I'll call Faults and ask for a new box.
