Cable TV Problem

Hello, i have had telewest cable tv installed and its all fine apart from a problem i have with Sky One, BBC1, BBC2 and BBC News 24, all seem to occasionally cut out. I get a black screen with no sound or picture at all, but i can still get the tv guide menu etc. I also had it today with ITV1, but it was a grey screen. Can anyone please help with what this could be? Thanks.

ps-the box they gave me has 3 things on the front, telewest broadband, scietific atlanta and Explorer 4200 DVB. Not sure if that helps.

Re: Cable TV Problem

Chances are the signal strength to to STB is very slightly out of tolerance. The occasional brief picture freeze, or "pop" does occure on cable, but it should be a rarity. If it's happenning 2 or three times a night, and on multiple channels, call faults.

Re: Cable TV Problem

Wow fast reply, thanks for that. It also seems to actualy stay off for about an hour on those channels so its quite serious i guess. I will give them a call and see what they can do. Thanks for your help.
