I currently have Analogue TV, phone line & a 2Mb internet connection. The TV is in my living room & the internet connection is in a room upstairs with a Terayon cable modem.
I am thinking of changing to digital TV as the analogue is losing more & more channels. Will this cause any problems? I have been told that the digi box needs to connect to the internet to receive verification codes. Is this true?

The box does talk back to the servers, but it just sends the signals down the coaxial cable screwed into the back.
It does this to log use of PPV movies and other such services, and it ususlly does this overnight.

Alan.
We recently changed from analogue, to digital TV, both on our downstairs standard TV/VHS/DVD seperate setup - and also the upstairs vhs/dvd combi via a pvr enabled tv card in my pc - verification codes have never been asked for
