Re: by speeds

I think Angelus amongst others has been having issues with BY in Brum. Pings nice and dodgy as well?

Re: by speeds

I had exactly this problem just after the upgrades to 4Mbps and spent around three hours on the phone to BY Tech support before we eventually tried uninstalling ZoneAlarm and trying the speed tests again. Amazingly, this worked and I was getting the full 4Mbps. Simply turning off ZoneAlarm was not enough, I had to totally uninstall it before it made any difference. I subsequently installed Sygate Personal Firewall (which is also free) and have had no repeat of the problem.

Hope this helps.

Re: by speeds

Shaun, thanks for this post. I have had this problem for months and despite several calls to BY have been unable to solve it till now. Worked exactly as you said for me.

Thanks Again
