Need a Half Life 2 save
Please can anyone help?
I forgot to backup my Half Life saves when I reformatted last night.
I have just got past the body on the electric fence and I'm face to face at eye level with thte reverend with the shotgun.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Re: Need a Half Life 2 save
Right, firstly make sure that the Console is turned on by going to Options->Keyboard, Click Advanced and make sure the console checkbox is checked.
Next, go back to the title screen and press ` (the key to the left of 1 at the top of your keyboard) and type
map d1_town_01
this should drop you in ravenholm at the beginning, you might be able to get closer to where you want to be by typing
map d1_town_02, 03, etc. im not sure.

Re: Need a Half Life 2 save
When I copied and pasted the map details it actually brought up that one and another with a at the end.
This put me exactly where I was before!

Re: Need a Half Life 2 save
It took me three attempts to reinstall Half Life 2 yesterday.
First two locked up because it couldn't access a .ico file even though the disc is in immaculate condition.
The third one froze my pc but when I rebooted it went through the Steam process and works fine.
Not sure whether this means anything but I wasn't installing CSS on the first two attempts.

Re: Need a Half Life 2 save
If you ever want to see all maps in single player AND multiplayer, type "maps *" (without speech marks) into the console and it will list all the maps available. It's what I usually do if I want to start the game at a certain point.
