Newly installed programs aren't appearing in the start menu

Exclamation Newly installed programs aren't appearing in the start menu

When i install a program onto my PC i usualy get it come up in the start menu, but recently they've not been appearing. When i install i install them to the deafult directory: C:\Program Files\blah blah

Can anyone help?

Some programs let you select, during installation, whether they have Start Menu entries or not. Have you forgotten to choose to have them?


You have XP Home...do you run it with the annoying tellytubby style XP theme rather than Windows Classic? Not everything shows up too clearly in the default Start Menu IIRC.
