Smile Another question, file opening conf gone?

Hey all,

Since I installed quicktime (and very quickly uninstalled it) 2 days ago, everytime I click on a mp3 link on a website, or a zip file infact, it doesnt come up with a window asking if I want to open or save it, it just goes ahead and opens and wont let me save it, some links I cant use "save target as".

For example I am into Counterstrike and I am downloading a lot of maps of late from sites that dont have direct links, you have to left click to download, and I want to keep the zip's.

Please could someone tell me how I get IE to revert back to the old way whereas everytime I click a link it will ask me whether I want to open it, or if I want to save it.... and dont say "Get Mozilla" - I have Mozilla, but some stuff runs better in IE

Cheers chaps.

Re: Another question, file opening conf gone?

In explorer (not IE) - choose Tools > Folder Options > File Types (tab).

Find the file type you are having trouble with and click "Advanced". You should see a tick box for "confirm open after download".
