Lady Thatcher wishes conservatives did this years budget!!

uuuummmm thought the party in control did the budget, still judging by how she was on sky news opening a tory HQ a minute ago I'm surprised she knows what day it is let alone which party is running things.

Isnt it great we have people like this in the house of lords which is all politicians dream retirement plan where they can be paid for dozing off during important debates that affect everyones lives in the end.

Only cos she gets a free bus pass.

Thatch is deranged, doolally, not the full shilling, bonkers, mental, round the twist and as mad as a mongoose, and has been since the mid-1980s. Surprised anyone still listens to her, except Sky TV and the Murdoch press, of course.

Mind you, I must be going soft in my old age, I found myself agreeing with Tebbit the other day, on the subject of the anti-terrorism idiocy. He was opposed to it, and considering how his family suffered in the Brighton bomb that's not to be taken lightly.

Agreed. Was watching Question Time the other week and agreeing with everyone but Labour which I found a peculiar situation. Politics is just about branding not ideology now. Very sad.

Re: Lady Thatcher wishes conservatives did this years budget!!

Ideology isn't all it's cracked up to be - ideals are more important and, for a British government, upholding the best British traditions while fixing those parts of the system that are anachronistic and unfair. Isn't too much to ask, is it?

Labour currently isn't proper Labour, it's an power-crazed ego with a black hole at its heart. Needs radical surgery to make it decent again, then I might occasionally support it. Robin Cook is still worth listening to, of course.
