FM Radio

Ok i was experimenting...and found if i plug the ntl cable from the back of my stb into my stereo i can get nice clear fm radio...so i have a splitter and spare cable lying around so i can have both the stb and radio on together..

my question is, is this breaking t&c's and are ntl likely to kick up a stink if they knew?

oh and im new!

it would be a lot easier to conect the ntl box with audio leads into your (md) (av) in the back of your radio then you would get the radio and the tv in great sound

Re: FM Radio

Hey Beery, welcome and that...

Well, You know Kerrang is available through the box? I tend to listen to digital radio by having the radio come through the box plugged into my Hi fi with the telly off - works good for me

Re: FM Radio

What stations could you pick up through the cable, and on what frequencies?

Re: FM Radio

Hi All,
maybe I'm wrong. My ntl connection has an F.M. output as well as the STB connection. Don't ntl use this now. I've used this for over ten years now because the reception on F.M. around Ipswich is terrible. It was one of the reasons I got cable in the first place. That was in 1990. How time passes.
George.

Re: FM Radio

the stations just seem to be the usual local stations so here i have metro, sun fm, century...etc plus there seems to be a few broadcast on FM from MW like virgin radio

i dont have an output from the wall socket i just split it, one end into the STB and one end into the radio...only do it cos my radio reception is crap, i used to use the tv arieal but that blew down!
