Moving Domain Name Service

I signed up a while ago with Simply.com for some domain names. They were pretty cheap at about £8 a throw. They are now coming up for renewal and in the interim Simply.com have been taken over by names.co.uk.

I have no problem with the new company as the software they use is pretty good, and when I have changed hosts they have been easy to change the DNS and it has populated pretty quickly.

My issue is the pricing. To renew the domain names for a .me.uk domain the price is £23.49. This seems very high compared to what I paid.

Can anyone recommend another service which is good, and is it difficult to change your domain name service?

www.123-reg.co.uk is excellent and about £2.59pa .

Moving is generally easy except some companies will charge you to move from them which can be quite costly - others don't. Just initiate a transfer from one company to the current holding company. Hopefully you've not left it too late that the domain is going to expire...
