censorship on tv
/rant on
ok im sick and tired of the censorship in this country with regards to television censorship
i sit down and watch a show in that show you may hear the world f**k or certain expletives way past the 9pm watershed but guess what its f'ing censored isnt it
ok so tonight we had some anti french comments due to the current climate guess what censored again
wtf is going on we live in a nanny state whats the point of censoring stuff like this past the watershed
/rant off

Yeah - I think some of the Censorship sucks.. I mean, They try and Edit it out, But it just makes it all the more obvious as to what was said. Anything after 9pm Should be allowed to be full frontal swearing/nudity /Anything else.. Its at the parants discretion if they allow there children to watch it then..

On the subject,
I think that it should be up to the individual or his \ her parent \ gaurdian to censor what is good or bad.
Also you cant tell me that todays kids dont know and use langauge, I have a boy of 10 and a girl of 6, I've told my lad in no uncertain terms that I know he knows the words but never to bring it home, so as for hearing it on the t.v. come on who's kidding who ?

i'm sick of tv and film censors telling adults what is right and wrong,i think as adults we should have the choice in what we watch and listen to after 9pm,and i'm 100% certain that must parents (my self included)know what our children should or should'nt whatch.

I'm pretty much against any kind of censorship. If i want to hear someone swearing or not thats upto me. My belief is if you don't like it don't part take in it, in the case of TV don't watch it. People will sometimes sit through a film and then spend 20mins saying how bad the swearing was and it would have been good but for the swearing. I'm just a whatever kinda guy.

I hate the way things are so censored in this country How come only a double figure number of complaints can come in for a programme watched by millions and the regulator says "Yes, your right this is totally unacceptable to the British people"

What makes me *ahem * laugh *ahem*
Is that all these so called censors sit there and watch all the films in all there uncut glory ( gory ) and then decide that no no no, YOU cant watch it.
What makes them so special \ gifted \ wise \ as to know what we, the public want and are capable of watching.
Do they think we are all idiots ?

actually i want to be a censor so i can loosen the grip on censoring too much at the bbfc i think it is for movies but they have let some things go in a few films that might have been censored in the past

European Laws have been the only loosening brought about to film laws in the UK. Hardcore porn was illegal, but now due to European laws they have to be rated 18r. If it wasn't for other countries dragging us forward then we'd be stuck in the dark ages on some issues.
