I have a NTL cable modem connected to my pc by USB and would like to change to a ethernet connection.I have a ethernet card but i am having trouble getting things to work.
I carn't seem to find how to unistall the old software and drivers there is nothing in the programs list or the add remove list. I have tried installing over the top selecting the ethernet connection in the install but i get so far and it says trying to get a new ip address and then fails so cannot complete install.
Does anyone know how to do this? or give me some advice.
all you need to do to remove the drivers, is pop the cd in and browse to:
X(cd drive):/drivers/ambit/unistall.exe
when that is finished running *do not* restart the computer, but instead search the hard disk for all files (including hidden/system files) named "usbcm". Delete all the results, reboot and robert is your mother's brother
