Thumbs down Faults in the DL1 area?

Just had the box replaced today at lunchtime, by a very helpful engineer, said, my channels (family pack & movies) would be up and running in about 15 minutes time. That was at 12 o'clock.

Faults are now closed, but the message said that there was a fault with TV in the DL1 area - is this the same fault?

I only get BBC1 through to Channel 4 and ITV2, the rest say that I am not subscribed. After not having the tv available on christmas day, boxing day, and two days after that, it's really dissappointing not to have it up and running again. Best I was given was a ten quid credit (I only got the movies for over christmas ).

Anyone able to get me up and running without getting passed to 4 different call handlers please?

Not a happy bunny and I've got a seven year old honking on about how 'poo' the telly is.

And now it's telling me that my smart card is not communicating with my box and to contact customer services (who are closed) error A002. But the picture has come back anyway (for channel 4)

Just realised, I only have 5 channels, BBC1&2, Channel 4 and ITV2, also BBC news24.

Thanks for that, I take it this means the install wasn't dodgy then, it's everyone in Darlington?

Ho hum, if I'm not the only one I don't feel so bad.

Re: Faults in the DL1 area?

Yesterday I had a problem with sky movies 5 and upwards and sky sports 3, the screen was just black , but today it is fine. Has anyone else had this problem?

the install was probably fine, the area problems will be sorted asap. Hopefully all will then be running properly

Re: Faults in the DL1 area?

Still no joy - I have to wait until Saturday for another engineer to visit.

Nobody knows what's wrong with it apparently.

Best one was the CS rep who told the other half to switch it off for an hour, reboot, and it would be fine. Oddly enough, that hour just happened to take them past closing time.

Is this the sort of service I'm supposed to expect? I've been a customer since the comcast days, and never have I had to put up with such shoddy service.
