Mobile phone buying

I am going to get a new mobile phone. Unlike some people (in the Mobile Phone is 20 thread), I do happen to like lots of features on my phone.

Anyway, the two I am looking at are the SPV C500 on Orange (quite cute, does pretty much everything I want, is free but has a small screen and uses Mini SD cards) and the XDA II (has large screen, does everything I want, uses standard SD cards, isn't free and is quite large)

Has anyone got any good/bad things to say about these (or other mobiles)? I am looking for a smartphone or PDA with phone rather than a bog standard phone. A Sony p900 is out of the question as it's not a major upgrade from the P800 I have and the p910i is too expensive.

The one brand of mobile I will not buy is Motorola. I have had bad experiences with them, and know too many other people who have..

Nothing to say about the SPV or the XDA 2, but....

I have a P900, & I think it's brilliant. So much better than the P800. Looks better, has a much better flip (the keypad is a proper electronic keypad, rather than simply having pins to strike the touch screen like the P800), better screen, more memory, etc etc...Every review I've read of it (including recent ones) says it's still the best smartphone available...

Re: Mobile phone buying

i have the SPV C500, it is every bit as good as you think it is. I have had mine since they came out, and the only annoying thing (at all) i have discovered is the network/bluetooth/chargy LED. It's really bright and there is no way to turn it off...
