New Job
After eight months of job hunting, decision making, despair and disappointment, finally the moment is upon me when I am made redundant from my existing role at ntl and move into my new one with them.
After wrestling with whether to stay or go for the best part of eight months, I have decided to stay. Overall there are still many good reasons to stay, and I feel with redundancies, everyone has their 'time'...and mine is not yet.
From Monday I join the 'Mind The Gap' team in Manchester. I am delighted to be joining the team and working under the manager there, who I know to be first class. I also want to place on record my appreciation for the help and support my previous management team have given me, especially since the redundancies were announced in April.
I look forward greatly to my new challenge, I do hope they know what they are letting themselves in for by employing ME!

Good luck. Don't know where you were based before, but Manchester is not a bad place, providing you avoid the 'nogo' areas!

Re: New Job
Thanks everyone.
I decided, after much deliberation, that at the moment I still don't want to work for anyone else.
Perhaps after so long you become a part of ntl

Thanks John. I was in Manchester previously. In fact, I'm only moving two desks away, for now, though I will be in the newly-renamed and refurbished 'City House' sometime in the near future.

They deal with any issues during the 'gap' beween the order being placed and the install taking place.
Lots of things can go awry, their job is to make sure they don't!

Re: New Job
Thank you so much to everyone for their kind remarks.
I'm quite looking forward to it...and the relief for me that this very difficult time is over is palpable.
