Pace digibox displaying 88:88

Hi there. I had my NTL digital TV installed today. It worked for 20 mins and the box froze. I rebooted, it froze. Kept doing it. Now all i have is 88:88 on the screen.

Any ideas?

Kevin

Oh dear, that means it is knackered.
You need to call faults.

Where are my manners

Is this a record for a knackered box?

Re: Pace digibox displaying 88:88

that's pretty rough, having your box die on the first day! i'm afraid you'll have to wait until Monday to call faults, as i believe there is no customer services on sunday!

Re: Pace digibox displaying 88:88

Hopefully not or i will get Sky :-)

Thing is, i managed to get the box to boot this morning, worked for 20 seconds, then froze. No remote, nothing.

Are all the boxes this bad or is it just Pace? I have heared bad things about them... :-(

Re: Pace digibox displaying 88:88

The chances are that you ended up with a returned faulty box that got put in the wrong pile.
Some pace boxes can be a pain but the 2000 series seems to be the best.
1000 boxes can be used as a room heater and 4000 boxes are just crap.

I wonder if they will replace it with a Samsung. Are they better than the Pace's?

Well I have had mine 3 weeks now and I have not had to reboot it yet. It has done it by it'self once but it seems stable even when I hammer the upload on it
