Question Gaming

I have just got 150kb broadband, connected through the set top box.

Is it possible to play games such as half-life etc online or is there a ban on this.

If online play is alowed what type of selection do i use, I am getting offered the following choices:

ipx
tcp/ip
serial

and i think one other choice but none seem to work. Can someone please explain what to choose and how to get it going.

Thanks
Joe

Yup, all games are ok to play online.. Thats Precisley why we have high speed internet

I'm not sure what you mean, When you say "Ive been offered the following types of Connections".. But, im pretty sure you can join an online Half Life game via Gamespy, Which can be found Here.

Any other problems, dont heisitate to ask

By the way, Welcome to nthellworld

You will need to use TCP/IP (Internet Protocol) to play over the internet.
Make sure that you allow the game access to the net if you are running a firewall or something.
I'm a big PC gamer so if you have any trouble just ask.

I would advise ASE (All-seeing eye) over Gamespy as a server browser. its still relatively simple to use, & has no ads etc.
U can filter servers to UK only, & no password, & particular game modes, which speeds up the server refreshing.
