Error Codes

Could someone shed some light on what the following error codes mean please. I have never come across them before.

STB= Samsung
Code Description
88 CAK Call Back connection attempt
547 KAT Queue Full

Found the referance to it in that thread but there isn't an explaination as to what they mean

If you trawl the ntl intranet under the DTV Technical Support section there is a document with a list of the error codes for the Samsung box. From what I can remember KAT Queue Full means a problem with the Samsung code, worth checking though.

If there is nothing to worry about then why does the box log end up full of them? there must be some reason for them, or is this something NTL do not want us to know about

88 CAK Callback Attempt
Comments
CAK = Conditional Access Kernal. It is the Nagra code that
deals with purchases, and for that matter anything to do
conditional access. A call back attempt is when the CAK code
attempts to send back purchase information to the ntl billing
servers. This code is not an error and is for information only.

540 Kal Empty (file name:line number)
541 Kal Destroyed (file name:line number)
542 Kal Invalid (file name:line number)
543 Kal Not Hooked (filename: line number)
544 Kal Bad Pointer (filename: line number)
545 Kal Private (file name:line number)
546 Kal System Error (filename: line number)
547 Kal Queue Full (filename: line number)
548 Kal no Resources (filename: line number)
549 Kal Asleep (file name:line number)
550 Kal in Use (file name: linenumber)
551 Kal not Set (file name:line number)
552 Kal Period (file name:line number)
553 Kal Task Fail (file name:line number)
554 Kal Timeout (file name:line number)
555 Kal Not Interupt Safety(file name: line number)
556 Kal No Memory (filename: line number)
Comments
These errors relate to the Samsung code in the STB. If
one of these errors occur please make a note of it and
let DTTS know including the circumstances of the fault if
available. If the error occurs on a regular basis. Change
out the STB. Please contact DTTS so that we can
arrange to collect the STB for analysis.

Hope this helps ths Techs and Engineers aswell as the Subs out there

Ok i get the error 547 a lot, happens every few hours and its not just one when it does happen it will fill the event log page up, but it doesnt state a line, just states the date, the time, and then 547 Kal Queue Full

Is this something I should be reporting to CS then?

Because they are part of normal operation. I have already asked Samsung to remove the messages from future versions of the software.
