Can't open htm files

Can anyone tell me why I am unable to open a htm file. I have an attachment with an email, the htm file shows up dim (as though my PC has not the ability to open this file extension)
What programme do I need, or need to enable.

Internet explorer should open it.
Your email prog could be blocking suspect file types also.
Look in security in Outlook/Express.

Hello caveman

Probably the best thing to do is download the attachment to your pc first, on the desktop or into a folder somewhere.

Then you should be able to open it with Internet Explorer, or even Microsoft Word.

Good luck

Ron

in Outlook Express click on Tools, Options then click the Security tab and uncheck the option that says "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus"

You should be able to open the attachment then.
