How to delete 3500+ emails with webmail??
I have just looked at a little used "username.ntlworld.com" email account & it has over 3500 emails in the inbox.
With only webmail available at the moment, can anyone suggest an easy way of deleting all these?
Displaying, selecting & deleting only 20 at a time is likely to take days & I dont really want to be doing that.

I know you say you've only got webmail available, but I'd think the quickest way is to wait till you get to a machine with an email client. Setup an account that retrieves the mail and deletes it from the server, and then delete the lot from the email client.

In Webmail, select the "Folders..." option on the left pane, you will then be able to select the "Del" option to clear out the Inbox.

Good to see a first time poster showing someone with 1400+ under their belt the simple answer.

Welll I'll be!
If in doubt, ask a granny, they know it all...lol
Took a few goes & it didn't delete the folder, just moved all the messages to the trash.
Then doing the same to that deletes them all.

That's exactly the same way yahoo and hotmail works, when you delete a message, it doesn't actually delete it, it puts into the trash can, just in case you have made a mistake and want to retrieve it.

HoTMaiL and Yahoo will then delete the trash after a number of days. Don't know if NTL does.

Re: How to delete 3500+ emails with webmail??
It did take several goes to get them all in the trash, it moved about 1000 at first, then odd numbers after that.
Then I had to try & empty the trash a few times.
Further looking into this, I could also have gone to the Options\Display page & set the number of posts to display to be infinate.
Might have taken a while to load but I could then select all & delete them

ntl mail wont delete the trash, it'll stay there until you delete it (and still counts towards your 10mb quota).
