Have you tried rebooting the modem? Pull the power lead out of it and switch the pc off for 30 seconds, then power both back up.

Have no idea on the technical stuff you posted but may be able to come up with some helpfull hints if you can give a little more info about what you mean by "sloooow".

First off which op system are you on 98/ME/XP?

Are you using USB or ETH for the connection to the modem?

Is it all browsing that is slow or just certain sites and is the problem related to time of day?

Short term running a spyware program like adaware may help speed things up a little though so worth a try.

Hey there wizardman

On the Silver Ambit cable modem, diagnostics should indicate a downstream receive power level of between -15 and +15 dbmv. Your downstream SNR should be over 20db. Your downstream modulation should be 64 QAM and finally, your downstream frequency should be 402750000 Hz.

What level of service are you on? Have you tried a speedtest? If so what are the results?

According to the information you've posted and compared against the information I've given you, there's nothing wrong with the figures you're seeing so maybe the problem lies elsewhere

Try this simple speed test and post the results back here please.

It could be that RWIN is set up wrong on your PC.
If you go here, you can run 'Tweak Tester II'. It will tell you if your PC is set up properly for broadband.
