SHARP Television

I have a sharp tv model # 19L-M100BS and for some reason the television stopped responding to the remote. The batteries are fine and the red light flicks on when i press a button on the remote but the tv does not seem to locate the remote control. Any suggestions to fix this problem?

Re: SHARP Television

Anything nearby that might cause interference to infra red signals. A heat source perhaps from another electrical device?

Re: SHARP Television

Is the red flashing light on the tv or remote.

Is there any buttons or switches on the remote that allow you to operate another device ie video or dvd player if so press or switch to tv.
Try unplugging tv from the mains for about 30 seconds
Try removing batteries from remote and pressing a button to fully discharge then replacing batteries.
