ms_webcheckmonitor...is it safe to remove ?

hi all....

hopefully just a quick queery.....just ran sisoftware sandra the benchmarking utility and it appears that the above named (webcheckmonitor) service/application is hogging a considerable amount of memory....

found the command to get rid of this...via google....but curious as to the effects...if any..... of removal, as cannot find what its function is


any tips appreciated...
