freeware screen video capture - camstudio etc?

Hello, can anyone reccomend a totally freeware video capture program?

I want to record to an AVI etc some of what a program is doing & send it off to my software support co.

I have tried installing Camstudio 2.1 from ehelp.com but it keeps boming out & saying that the install code given is wrong, yet there is no option to give one yet. So it does not install correctly. (I'd like to use this - so does anyone have an install code for it? its totally free too).

Thanks,
Zoombini.

Re: freeware screen video capture - camstudio etc?

I'm on Xp Pro.

However I have a suspicion that I installed it ages ago too, so it may have still had registry entries that its looking at to prevent people bypassing the 30 day registration bit.

Capturepad looks like ti will do the trick & I may try that later, thanks.

PS GDW, did you get a registration code to enter or was it just the install that you did?

Re: freeware screen video capture - camstudio etc?

I installed it, ran it once and was asked for email address, then the next time I ran it I got prompted for the registration code (which I had received by email immediately after submitting it), and everything worked fine.

By the way, if you want to compare codes, feel free to PM me. As the software is freeware, I guess this doesn't amount to piracy

Yes I did that initially too, however I never got the email back & they do not do any form of support for this program.

PM sent.
