SK7 Manchester/Stockport Area Outage?

Is there a broadband problem in Manc/S'port? I have lost all BB connectivity and my router is having a fit over it. Also, when the STB powers up I don't get the usual blinking second LED that goes steady once the WAN is detected. I get one light at the top and no others. The second light will come on if I take the STB off standby. This would indicate to me that the WAN is down. Can anyone confirm?

Nige.

Re: SK7 Manchester/Stockport Area Outage?

No problems on the Droylsden/Ashton area. It could be a problem affecting only one area or your STB that has died.

Have phoned in on the free number to see if there is a problem.

Whenever I reset (switch off then on) my STB I never get the second LED on, I always have to come out of standby before I get anything other than the top LED.

Re: SK7 Manchester/Stockport Area Outage?

Been getting the occasional BB 'outage' recently, together with 'freezing' on digiTV. I attribute it to the freezing conditions affecting the street cabs.

I assume v cold conditions can alter the electrical resistance (or other electrical parameters) of cabling or connections.

An STB reboot seems to fix it though.
