Question Installation????????

I know the flat I live in has had ntl previously. We still have sockets in the living room and in my bedroom. If I sign up to ntl broadband will any of these sockets be usable? Is there any way to check they are all ntl sockets? If they are how long would installation take and would they need to add or change any cables?

As you can see I dont really know anything as have never had cable before. I tried to find the info on ntl website and when i couldn't find any i emailed them (this time last week) and haven't heard anything.

Can anyone help?????
Thanx

Re: Installation????????

Give them a call, there should be a freefone number for them. Advise em that it appears that the previous owners had services from them as you have all the fittings to say so. Then ask if its possible to be one of their customers and they'll tell you when someone can come out to you etc.

I think thats what I did when I started being a telewest customer.

Re: Installation????????

Try 0800 052 1940, when you get the options I think you have to go for option 1 as option 2 just goes straight to a prerecorded message with the std 0845 customer service number to ring.

The 0800 number was certainly still in operation until about 2 weeks ago. It was used for a "special customer offer".

Hang on, why am I encouraging someone to join NTL? Oops, oh well its your own lookout lol.
