Question Burning a 4.2gb in Nero

I have to create a DVD for a friend which will contain numerous folders, i cant fit them on a CD.

I am using Nero 7 to make the DVD, I selected Nero Burning Rom from the Start Menu , then i selected "DVD" from the list, and then I selected UDF, added my folders and burned. trouble is my mate cant access the disks contents, he tried it on a few pc's and he cant get it working.
What am i doing wrong?

Re: Burning a 4.2gb in Nero

Shouldn't need to install any writer software to read the disc... If it's a DVD for use in a PC, you're better off using the ISO format instead of UDF.

UDF File System: "Reading such disks needs special software in earlier versions of Windows, and may not be possible with all CD drives, even when that software is present."

Re: Burning a 4.2gb in Nero

Don't you have to finalise a disc before it can be read on another system ?

Re: Burning a 4.2gb in Nero

could also be the media, certain discs dont work on all systems, DVD + and - R dye colour etc etc.

My betting is finalising the disc, as it happened to me a few weeks ago, burnt some stuff for a freind, passed the disc on, wouldnt work, put it in my mahcine it worked, i burnt again on same media, same drive using same version of nero and finalised the disc and it worked.
