Xbox 360 Wireless Pad
Hi I've just purchased the Xbox 360 console but am having problems with the wireless pad, the batteries I place in never last long, for example a set of 2000mAh NI-MH rechargeable Uniross batteries are only letting me play for around an hour on a full charge, this is while playing GRAW on Xbox Live and using the headset, I have ordered a plug and play pack from Amazon last night but doubt this will arrive till tues/wed. Has anyone else had any problems similiar to this or do you think it could be a faulty controller and is there anyway to solve it just for a couple of days till when my plug and play kit arrives?
Dan

Re: Xbox 360 Wireless Pad
An hour seems a bit short, but often with rechargable batteries, you should charge them for several hours the first time you use them. You will also find they won't reach full capacity until you have recharged them a few times.

Re: Xbox 360 Wireless Pad
Yea these batteries have been used before in my digital camera so there not new or anything but then again they're not very old mayb e had 10/15 charges in them at a guess, I also thought this was abit short but this is no exageration they really only last around an hour.

Re: Xbox 360 Wireless Pad
I bought a pack of about 24 batteries for a quid from the local corner shop for this, and each one lasted a grand total of about 5 minutes (no word of a lie) before barfing and dying in a pool of uselessness in my wireless pad.
Cheap batteries + Wireless pad = bad idea.
I did get the Official play and charge kit from Amazon and that lasts ages, its not too expensive (15 quid i think) and well worth it IMO.

Glad to hear that I'm not the only one experiencing problems so looks like when my play and charge kit arrives that will be the end of my problems.

Yeah, definately mate - it lasts for days and days and days.
Also on the dashboard it also shows you the current charge status of the battery so you know when its about to run out.

Re: Xbox 360 Wireless Pad
I bought a normal FAST battery charger and 4 2500mAh quick charge cells. If i was to use the xbox for a few hours a night, the batteries on one controller would last about 1 week before needing a charge.
I wouldn't bother with a play and charge kit as this makes the wireless controllers pointless if there on charge all the time using a wire.

They arent on charge all the time though, in fact they are rarely on charge in my experience.

I charge my controllers when I am not using the console. That way when ever I am using them they are charged They also last a lot longer than normal batteries.

I do that - took me ages to work out why there was still noise coming from the console, until I noticed that light was still on on the controller

Re: Xbox 360 Wireless Pad
i bought one of them energizer chargers and 4 1700mah bateries for bout £10 in total and they last about a week or two with about 1-2 hours of gameplay each day. And it only takes a few hours to charge them up again.
They do the job great!!!
