Phone connection data cable

Hello, i know this may not be the correct place to ask this, but i thought it would be worth a shot, as most of you guys on here seem pretty clued up.

I bought a DKU-5 Connectivity Cable so i can upload a few bits to my nokia, But i cannot get any program to recognise it! I have checked under device manager, and its showing on com4 fine, all the drivers have been installed, and are showing as ok :S
I have tryed Mobile media browser, Oxygen phone manager, and Nokia Pc Suit, but none will recognise it. I had this problem with my sagem, but somehow managed to sort that, but i cant remember what i did lol! Any advice greatly appreciated! Cheers!

Don't various cables come with set-up software? Was there any with yours??? I just recently bought a Bluetooth Dongle - it's great and not just assigned to one make of phone either - maybe you might want to look into one of those???

Re: Phone connection data cable

I've got a DKU-2 cable which is via USB, all I did was install the Nokia PC Suite but I do remeber that I had lots of problems with a DKU-5. In the end after searching Google for hours I found some drivers.

Just had a quick search on my PC and I think these where the ones I used.

A trick i have to use with my Nokia 3220 is to turn the phone off, and just before it loads the main screen on the phone (with battery life, signal strength, etc) plug the cable int hen. Still, loads of problems and my phone hasn't been recognised in about 2 weeks, even after various drivers.

Re: Phone connection data cable

Thanks for the suggestions, none work though! lol. And my nokia isn't bluetooth! I've allready tryed the drivers too. And yes sarah, i got a disk full of software, tryed the lot, and gone through the instructions, still no joy, when i connect the phone to the pc it does say on the phone connection established, and it is recognised on the pc under com4 port! Strange, as i've tryed to establish that with the software and it says nothings there! :S Been through all the ports too, still nothing! Bah! Might bin the ****er in a minute! lol
