problem with my telewest box.

problem with my telewest box.

Hi I just got my telewest box installed 3 days ago and today when I was watchin it the screen went blank and now all I get is the standby led flashing, Iv tried to unplug the power and put it back in but it still just flashes and I cant turn it on to watch the tv. does anyone know what has happened or how to fix this?

Call Telewest.

Sorry to be brutal, but there appears to be nothing you can do if you have unplugged the box.

Could be a number of things. I had a similar experience where the subscribers card wasn't married the the box properly, and it went wrong after a few days.

This was something tht was fixed, instantly, over the phone.

You don't say of it is a TVDrive. If it is, A reformat can fix things. (but get them to talk you through this over the phone). You will lose any saved recordings.

Failing that. It's an engineers visit, I'm afraid. Call them ASAP to get the best (and quickest) response time.
