Windows Media Center 2005 and NTL

I'm getting a new pc from Dell but can't decide between XP Professional or Windows XP Media Center 2005 for the Operating System.
I think Media Center would more meet my requirements, but this isn't shown under the NTL broadband PC requirements as one of the Operating systems supported? Would it be ok ?
Any advice appreciated, thanks.

Windows Media Center is essentially xp pro just with media center built in, it will be fine.

Re: Windows Media Center 2005 and NTL

You can use any operating system basically, the supported ones are what ntl staff are conversant with and can talk you through any problems, that and the fact that Network Medic will only run on the supported OS's, although in your case as Media Center is just XP with add-ons Network Medic will probably run fine (having said that, most of us here choose not to install it anyway)
