Dieing overnight

OK this is the third day in a row I've gone to bed with it working fine, got up the next morning, come in to work and tried to connect to my home machines... Nothing!

I'll then come home and have to reset the box once or twice and it'll work again...

Has this been happening for anyone else? It's only been doing it lately.

I have the 10meg service through the Samsung STB (which actually makes it 5meg I guess.. :p )

I also use a Smoothwall box... That can't be the problem though surely?

Also.. Has anyone had any problems or anything, and managed to get NTL to give them a cable modem for free as opposed to paying £50? It must be worth a try..

Edit: I live in Surrey, South of London

Cheers

Howard

Re: Dieing overnight

If its the Set Top Box youre having to reboot, having the Smoothwall in the way is just another system and shouldn't cause any problems. What version of Smoothwall are you using by the way, I've got the CD at home and used it a good number of years ago.

Re: Dieing overnight

Yes it's the set top box. I was just posting as much info as I could, for reference

I hope the problem itself just fizzles out.. I really can't be bothered to deal with customer service
