speed test...

hey guys, i have been upgraded to the 10mb bband, and would like to test the speed. Can some1 give me a link to download a large file [200mb+] off a reliable server to test it........plzzzzz?

adslguide gives me 2mb, and CF's speed test gives me about 3-4mb .......

I use this place to conduct my speed test. It doesn't download any large files to my knowledge but does give an accurate result.

You could also try downloading a linux ISO which is going to be bigger than 200Mb to see what speeds you get.

thx for the quick reply... i am getting this for the 10mb

3.44 Mbps
which is around 440.76 KB/s

I guess it is contention

when chking on google earth downloads, i was getting 650KB/s!

still havent maxed out my connection

PS the linuxiso site wont let me download anything

Bit poor for 10Mbps

Try downloading this Linux ISO for a test.

(The PC (Intel x86) install CD)

The speed test at dslzoneuk.net that Cerberus posted just keeps looping round asking me to confirm my connection speed...
I select 2MB.... click begin.... wait a minute and it asks me again and again, never tells me my speed!
