Question which is the best way to connect usb are ethernet

Hi which is the best reliable way to connect I always connect my
broadband modem via usb so am thinking of switching my connections
from usb to ethernet wil it improve my download speed and internet browsing are is both connection are the same they do the same job

Ethernet is much easier, just install your Ethernet drivers, plug in the modem and if you had a previous net connection, you need to set it up new via Lan, you won't need any ISP software at all....

Also providing you've a good Lan card, it's faster too.

Just uninstall your ISP software, then once the Lan card and drivers are set up, the quickest and easiest way to set up your network connection is to run Control Panel, Internet Options, Connections Tab, Lan Settings, check the automatically detect settings, Ok and exit

A reboot afterwards is recommended to refresh your DNS etc...

Building on what Merlin said, don't forget to reboot your modem afterwards to reflect the changes. Otherwise it won't work
