Iv Been Upgraded...

Iv been upgraded today by BY but im just wondering if anyone else had the same problem as me? From around 3pm onwards today and i reckon until 11PM tonight i will have slow speeds. is this the peak times? There is Scheduled maintenance for Plymouth on the 4th 5th n 6th of April. Do you think this will solve any problems?

Thanks
Kenny

Re: Iv Been Upgraded...

Most likely some part of your problem should get solved with their maintainance. But you never know.

What packages are you on ?

Re: Iv Been Upgraded...

i too found myself with my ( BY-Plymouth ) upgrade last night i was on half of my original speed but this afternoon all OK much better, i think it must take 24hrs to kick in properly there / or your end? it was only moaning in another post here the other day ( which isn't where i thought it would be ) my upgrade is more basic than most, from just over half to 2meg
i`m not a games player but would like to hear what ppl think about the 10meg service which i believe is £35.00 per month what are the real benefits if any?

Talking Re: Iv Been Upgraded...

Channel 7 eh?

Must give it a go, I normally use 1 - 2 or 3 but from 5pm onwards they seem to go at a crawl for me in Exeter, 10 mb drops to about 2mb

....or is he bluffing really and trying to get me onto 7 so that 5 (which he really uses) stays empty - cor it's like online poker with all this bluffing

NUTs not playing poker with you. channel ID6 331000000 er your mod should be QAM256 after the upgrade, no your not getting the up channel of me as that realy does stop web browsing from being fun.
Ps some web sites limit the download speed(boo) and unless the speed test site supports ADSL2 it can have problems with 10meg from BY

Re: Iv Been Upgraded...

When i use to have 256kbps (now the 2meg) i'd be on a very decent ping of 10 - 20 on my online first person shooter games. Since blueyonder upgraded to 2meg, between 3pm (when i get home) and 11pm at night i get 100+ ping. I live in London.

Why is this happening, i've heard alot about these channels but can someone really explain what they are and how to use them?
