Re: Bbc1 No Sound ?

This could have been due to a number of reasons.
1) Your box could have been the problem and so rebooting fixed it.
2) It could have been a coincidence that the sound was back after rebooting:
Channel 1 is the local Freeview signal, channels 926/927/928/929 are national satellite signals and so one could have a problem without affecting the others.

Re: Bbc1 No Sound ?

I rang CS last night when the sound went on BBC1. They had a recorded msg
saying to turn the STB off if sound was missing on any BBC channels in Bromley, for 30 secs. I did so, all OK afterwards.
I also noticed BBC1 had moved to bottom of favourites list!!

Re: Bbc1 No Sound ?

I can confirm I also had the same problem on Wednesday night and watched the football via the 92x channels.
Anyone else in Bromley area getting the same??

Didn't pay much attention to it, but notice tonight the sound is still missing.
About to try rebooting the box to see if that will cure it - a bit peeved to think in future we'll have to pay to phone the number to see Ntl have c0ck3d up and a box reboot is in order - surely they could overlay some kind of message to this effect for channels affected...

Yep - rebooted my Samsung (as above) and it's now working... why can't Ntl broadcast a message like the terrestial channels do when they have an audio fault - surely someone back at HQ must have picked this up. If I'm not mistaken, Bromley IS quite important to the network!

Re: Bbc1 No Sound ?

There is a problem on Langley and the Bromley platform in regards to sound missing on BBC One.

Check all your connections, especially the Scart lead are in securely
Switch the box off at the mains for 20 seconds and switch it back on.

That seems to be getting the majority of peoples sound back. If this doesnt work, call into faults not Customer services, ASAP on O800 052 2000 Option 3.

Hope that helps
