vhs to dvd

Morning folks,

Just a simple question, I have a Bush Combined DVD & VCR recorder, it seems I can copy from VCR to DVD, I've never done this before, so when the item has been copied, does anyone know what happens as regards stopping the machine?
The instruction booklet only tells you how to start the copy process, assuming that everyone knows what to do next.

Should be able to contact Bush, but I'm still waiting for a reply to an email from ten days ago.

Cheers, gedr.

I would think that you would go into timer settings and select the correct source ie, tuner, ext1 for scart, or copy from vcr to DVD, or if you have a one touch record button use that as they usually increase in 10 or 15 minute increments.

Re: vhs to dvd

Thanks, banjo, I'll give that a try and see what happens.
As I've never done any copying before I'm not sure what to expect, I didn't know if there was some mechanism to be able stipulate the time to stop.

I'll let you know what happens.

Thanks, gedr.

Re: vhs to dvd

Om my Sony RDRVX410 there are three ways to stop the process.
1. Press the stop button on the remote
2. Wait until the tape runs out, then the DVD stops recording
3. Wait until the DVD is full, then everything stops.

Re: vhs to dvd

Thanks for the reply, Crypto, I've done one now and it seems I have to be present when it has finished the transfer and then switch off manually.
It does seem to be about the same as your Sony.

Cheers, gedr.
