New mobo
Hi all. I have an asus A8V-E Deluxe mobo running windows xp pro64 bit with 2 WD raptors (sata) in RAID 0.
For reasons best left unmentioned (that some of you can guess at) I would like a new mobo. I want this to be as easy a swap over as possible bearing in mind the RAID 0 setup I have atm.
I am considering an asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe ............
How easy/hard is this swap over to do?
Any comments on that mobo?
........or should I just leave well alone for the time being and await the 65nm amd cores and then go for a new build later in the year?

Re: New mobo
Main problem there is you will be moving from a Via SATA RAID controller to an NVidia controller. It will almost certainly not recognise the existing Raid array (and the NVRaid controller is pants anyway).
Ideally you want something with the same RAID controller - apparently a Promise 20378.

Gawd........I think I'll just scrap this idea. I'll leave dual core computing alone for another year or so till I build myself another pc

Yup. I'm well impressed with overclockers. You can get hold of them on the phone and they take back goods even if they have been used.
