Do I need to pay the full contract ?

Hi all,

Please refer to my previous post regarding NTL not able to provide me service at my new flat (even though there is a NTL box just below my window). They keep saying that it is not in their system.

Can someone please tell me that in the case that nothing comes off and I am forced to cancel the contract [12 months started in July 2005], am I liable to pay for the remaining period of my contract ?

Thanks with regs,
Anand.

Re: Do I need to pay the full contract ?

Probably you will be liable for the remaining portion of the contract.

If they cannot provide a service at your new property you will not be liable for the reminder of your contract.

Just before I left Ntl they were talking about changing the process so that you would have to pay the minimum or take an off-net product for the remainder of the initial 12 months to stop people doing the whole "I'm moving to an off-net area" trick.

They had to pay off the minimum charges before the line was disco'd.

I'm not sure whether they are doing that now but they could well be if they are serious about making money.
