Unhappy Loss of service in Bournemouth?

Hi Guys

I've been an NTL BB user for a couple of years now, and other than a few initial teethins probs have been generally happy with the service.
I'm on the 3MB service and have the silver Samsung STB and all was fine on Saturday night when I set a 300MB download going. On Sunday morning I found that the download had stalled and upon checking found that I had no internet access.

I've tried all the usual stuff, i.e turning off PC & STB etc but without success.
I connect to the STB using an ethernet cable and the PC recognises when the cable is unplugged/plugged back in, however, the LED on my NW card always stays amber with no green flashes. If I double click on the NW icon in my taks bar (Windows XP Pro) the is zero traffic being sent or received.
I've tried clicking on the "repair" button but this fails saying something about the IP can't be reset. If I try and disable/enable the NW connection the task hang up on the PC.

I've called NTL and after holding for 30-mins got through to someone that advised that they would re-set my account and that I should power everything down and back on - Then the prob would be solved. Unfortunately this is not the case and my connection is still dead.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what else I can check?
