Ping and packet losses

Well i'm still experiencing both of these problems with the gaming ping jumping from 40 to 180 all the time also packet losses up to 5%,and speed tests are also extremely erratic.I used the Dan Elwells speed test as recommended awhile back from NTL and the results on this have come up with a serious connection problem with packet losses of up to 18% and download problems also were identified.

I had previously contacted NTL about this and they confirmed i have quite a bit of noise and would fix it and after waiting a week they said it was all fixed, but problems still persisted.

So contacted Tech support who in the end said they could do nothing for me and would not send an engineer as the engineer would charge me £100's if no fault was found ....Tried explaining to him that there is a fault which started 3 months ago and i'm not imagining it but no luck....nice support thnx.

With great reluctance i have now cancelled my broadband (middle of Jan)

Its a shame really as i have TV digital,Phone and BB with NTL and they couldn't solve my problem

So now i have to pay BT £80 to connect to them for a phone line so i can get BB with another provider....hopefully i can find one for stable gaming!!
