How much longer

Last Monday 5th December, I phoned cs for the 10mb upgrade where a DD was setup for and a SACM installation was arranged for 7th December, come 8:15 AM the SACM had been installed "Eng:Have you got your pin" "Me:Only the one I've had for the past 3 Years" "Eng:No that won't work, call cs for another one, and then wait 1 hour before trying to register" and then the engineer left, so 9:00 AM I phoned cs for the pin "CS:We are currently having problems with generating pin numbers, please wait up to 7 days to receive yours" 7 days after I originally phoned for the upgrade and 5 days after the SACM was installed I still haven't received the pin number (even though I've received the premium customer letter and the new DD account letter), so how much longer will it take, and when the SACM is eventually registered will the ethernet port on the sTB be switched off or will I have to contact cs to do this.

Re: How much longer

This is exactly one of the same problems I had with NTL over the last week, I also had an STB and had a SACM fitted, no pin, it took me about 12 phone calls to support before it was finally sorted, but now I have no connection at odd times because of another fault - sadly you'll just have to keep ringing them until they get it right.

I'm also willing to bet that I get charged for both STB broadband and SACM broadband when my next bill comes in, I was told it wqould be switched over, but basically everything else I have been told by CS has been wrong so I'm expecting that to be wrong as well.

Oh and don't expect Broadband Plus to work once you are switched on, they can't get that right either....

If you still are not getting anywhere then ask to speak to 'Huw' in Tech Support (ring the 0800 052 2000 number) he was the only person who could sort mine out in the end..

Re: How much longer

Thanks a lot Bill C, after trying robin walkers way (without the cd) twice it wouldn't recognise the mac address, so switched of both the PC and SACM, used the cd and I'm now accessing the net through a SACM
