please help :(

ive looked around on these boards but coulldnt find what i was looking for. Ok i want to upgrade to the 10MB connection so i go to http://www.ntlworld.co.uk/toolsservices/tiermigration/ then it says to enter my username and password...thats where my problem lies. Ive entered all the usernames i can think of that have anything to do with NTL but it just comes up with the message "The username (*********) entered is not the registered subscriber associated with this cable modem.Please go back and try again with your cable modem username and password. If you need further help, please contact our customer support (0800 052 2000). "

What am i doing wrong? Ive gone into the email part where you can add mail boxes and there is one at the top where it says you cannot modify this address, and ive entered that into the username and the password is correct. Any suggestions? Ive tried phoning but they are closed (great customer service) Thanks people.

you need to you the same username & password you first used when you signed up to NTL

That was quite a while ago...is there anyway online of finding that out?

It should be the same as your e-mails

The username is the part of your primary ntl email address to the left of the @, not the complete address. It should be shown in account properties for your email client, as David says.

The password is also the same as the email one if you haven't changed it since signing up. If you can't remember or access it, you'll have to contact Customer Services, though.

As long as you're the main account holder, and there's a security word on your account which you can remember, Technical Support can give you the information. They're open 8am-midnight every day on 0845 650 0121.
