Belkin Wireless Network Problems

hi there i baught a belkin hub thing that plugs in to your cable modem, and a reciever that plugs into the computer that u want to have wireless. i got both of there from pc world and braught them home poped in the cd and got started. then it asked me to connect the ethernet cable from my modem in to the hub. BUT u use usb because i dont have an ethernet slot on my pc... and their is no usb slots on the hub to blug the modem in to. i phone belkin n they says get a new pc

what do i do.

You'll need ethernet to set it up. Buy a cheapo card, only about £10, or a USB to ethernet adaptor, set the ntl up via ethernet on the PC then run the Belkin disk again.

where can i get a network adaptor from and how much???

will i need to tell ntl that i want to use ethernet

no you wont need to tell ntl, get one of these.

If you need help after installing this then let us know, if you could let us know the model numbers of the kit you have already bought that will help too

And don't fret moving from usb to ethernet will be great for you and very easy. You might not feel like it now but its much better and this forum has seen hundreds through this process and we will get you online as required.

assuming you bought the right bits already
