Can ntl access my pc?

I had to ring bb tech support this morning,for a little fault
my bb is going through my router,he ask me unplug cable from stb to router
and plug in my pc,and disable pc firewall,
can they access my pc,just asking if they can or not
sorry if been asked,did a search

No, they can't - they want to get the router and the firewall out of the system to eliminate them as possible causes of your trouble.

They have reporting tools that can access information Via the UBR's as to the status of your modem, send recive levels ect and they will have the MAC address of the modem and ip ect but are not able to access your PC, unless like anyone, has alot of time on there hands to do so and know how to do it.

More like:
PC linked to STB, STB linked to internet.
Hope you turned on your firewall again after NTL tech support ended the call otherwise NTL accessing your PC is the least of your worries
