Re: Firefox 1.5 Release Candidate 1
I'm using 1.5 beta 2 and with the check updates, you can download and install the release candidate via that.
Has anyone used it? If so does it work?

Re: Firefox 1.5 Release Candidate 1
I am on 1.0.7 and when I do the update it does not find any new versions, I know that if I go to the site I can click the link, but I think I will wait a wee bit longer

It doesn't work with the older versions, as it's part of the 1.5.
They tried something like it before, but it didn't work, so they stopped it.

Worked a treat, only had to download 600k instead of the usual 5meg for the installer. If it gets stuck on the "checking for extension updates" just hit cancel and it's done.

I just installed it using the update.
The partial update found a problem when installing, so it had to download the full update.
It still works fine though.

When was your last vanilla install? have you gone through a few versions on your current one?

Installed it
Lasted all of 30 seconds on my machine
Uninstalled it.
Why you might ask. The Google toolbar does not work with it. So will roll back to the previous version

Hi,
Just downloaded 1.5 RC - and installed the extension 'Nightly Tester Tools'.
Google Toolbar is back! - and more important - it works! Thanks!
BTW - FF 1.5 RC is fast!

Re: Firefox 1.5 Release Candidate 1
1.5 RC is no faster than 1.5 b2.

Re: Firefox 1.5 Release Candidate 1
I have the same impression - 1.5 RC _does_ seem faster than 1.5 b2.

It won't, ik. 1.07 is a public release version, and hence will only look for other public release versions to update. When 1.5 <nothing> comes out, it should find it.

Yes I know, but it's psychological.
