Re: Conection & gaming probs

Try Robin Walker's speed test, Slim: it's on the ntl network, so it's less likely to suffer from variable internet conditions than other tests: your beeline test appears to hail from Amsterdam, so will be more affected by local conditions.

Re: Conection & gaming probs

dont worry I am used to it, here is mine taken 1 minute ago on an idle 2mbit connection using auto proxy.

and using my squid

finally colc2

its hard to believe performance is this low but until last week the service was at least useable near the marketed speed.

robin walker's test is bad for that reason, its hardly a fair way to measure ntl's internet performance if it isnt leaving ntl's network. The results below would make me think great nothing wrong. The local conditions are not causing the low speed it is ntl's saturated amsterdam router.

True, but that that reason it's useful for determining whether the problem is your connection to ntl, or ntl's connection to the rest of the internet, if you see my point.
