pace box on the way out ?

A strange thing happened when i turned the tv on today, I have the black pace box and has always been ok. While watching the tv today every time i changed the channel there was no info present on the programe that was being dissplayed . So i pressed the guide button on remote to get the channel index up and the tv just froze. It did not matter what button i pressed nothing happened. So i did a reboot and when i turned the power back on the pace box was dissplaying numbers changing very very fast from 0 to 1700 when it stoped on the word late then flashed to i think it was eaars and these words kept flashing up , so again i turned off power waited a minuete or so and turned it on again , this time the word pace was dissplayed for about 5 mins. and then went back to normal and has been ok ever since, has any one any idea as to what caused this. im in hemel hempstead so i dont know if any work on the tv side was beeing carried out.

Re: pace box on the way out ?

Sounds like you have just had a software update to provide Video on Demand.

Re: pace box on the way out ?

It's a software update,if it happens again,LEAVE IT!! Thats why your box froze.(errs flas means the box is erasing the flash memory to install the update,if i'm correct)
